Message from Fr Shaun Smith at Sacred Heart Church
“For some time, Sacred Heart School at Hillsborough has been in urgent need of new classrooms to replace the “temporary” ones that no longer meet the required standard. The school and parish are delighted that at last we have the go-ahead to get the project going and we hope to have phase one completed after Easter. Raising £25,000 is a big challenge for a school community but already a lot of hard work and remarkable generosity are moving us in the right direction.
There may be people in neighbouring parishes with a connection to Sacred Heart who would like to help us with a donation. You could sponsor a brick for £2, a roof tile for £5, a litre of paint for £10, a window for £50, or even a door for £100! If you can help in any way, that would be very much appreciated. Please make cheques payable to Sacred Heart Building Fund, and send to The Secretary, Sacred Heart School, Ripley Street, Hillsborough, Sheffield S6 2NU.
