PASTORAL CARE WORKSHOP - A WELCOMING PARISH

22/09/2007 - 14:00
22/09/2007 - 16:00

DEANERY OF ST. THOMAS MORE – NORTH SHEFFIELD

SATURDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER 2007 2.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m.

SACRED HEART PARISH HALL, Ripley Street, Hillsborough, Sheffield

Jesus was famous for many things, and one was that he would both welcome and be welcomed by people who came into his life. Two thousand years later are our parishes and churches as welcoming?

The aim of the workshop is to hear of good work being carried out in each parish and then suggest a way forward so that all parishes can introduce something new that means that all who come into our churches are treated with kindness and respect.

Welcoming, friendly parishes:

Offer understanding and friendship to all
Are a source of help in times of need
Help everyone in the parish feel that they belong
Encourage and celebrate life to all who come into the doors of the church

It would be great to hear how it’s done in St.Catherine’s, St.Vincent’s, Sacred Heart, St. Marie’s, St. Mary’s High Green, St Patrick’s, St. Ann’s, St. Mary’s Penistone, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Thomas Mores, St. Charles

Contact your Deanery Rep or Parish Priest. Come along anyway and help us to grow into a loving and vibrant church.
