Music
I think that the choir and the music in the cathedral is really cool (i'm new to the church and area) and really gives you confidence to sing yourself.
As the music/ hymns or reponses are different from those i have grown up with, it really helped to have the choirister allow a dry run before the respponses are givin in the mass.
It also adds a nice, relaxing and spiritual feel to the church that allows you to relax and sometimes just listen to the beautiful voices. Without the music and choir it would feel as if something was missing in such a beautiful church.
