Holy Hour
The inspiration for the Holy Hour is found in Matthew
26:40. In the Gospel of Matthew, during the agony in the Garden of Gethsemane
the night before his crucifixion, Jesus spoke to his disciples, saying "My
soul is sorrowful even to death. Remain here and keep watch with me."
Returning to the disciples after prayer, he found them asleep and he asked
Peter: “Could you not keep watch with me for an hour?" The Exposition of
the Blessed Sacrament is a time for silent adoration and prayer in the presence
of Christ, the crucified, risen and living Lord.
It takes place Monday to Friday 11.30am-12.30pm. You are welcome to come for
part of or the whole hour.
It concludes with the celebration of Prayer during the Day.
